Unfortunately I don’t get much opportunity to use data science in my work other than doing simple things on excel with things like costs breakdowns. There are lots of ways I could do this since there is so much data from different subcontractors and projects, but since my company isn’t really into that, I haven’t really looked into it.

I think if you find a chemical engineering related job, you can try to explore ways you can apply data science in your work and it would definitely help you when you look for a data science role.
